Grazy Brandwering specialises in passive fire safety and structural fire protection. From Den Haag, our large team works on new construction, renovation and existing buildings throughout the Netherlands. With more than 1,000 completed projects, we have built up experience in housing, high-rise buildings, offices, healthcare and industry.
We help contractors, installers, property owners and building managers survey, install and maintain fire protection measures. We combine on-site expertise with clear agreements on execution, scheduling and handover.
The team behind the work
Fire protection on a large project calls for people who know their trade and work well together. Our team coordinates the work with contractors, installers and building managers. We take into account the construction phasing, accessibility and the day-to-day use of the building.
That coordination is part of our work: from repeated penetration seals in an apartment complex to work in an office or production environment that stays in use.
Ener Nikocevic
Fire Safety ExpertEner Nikocevic oversees our passive fire safety projects and writes the technical articles in our knowledge base. There he turns topics such as fire compartmentation, penetration seals and maintenance into practical explanations for clients and building managers.
Experience on projects where a lot comes together
Our experience includes work at sites of ASML, De Nederlandsche Bank, WTC Amsterdam and Cargill, and on the Cooltower in Rotterdam. Each of these projects calls for its own approach.
ASML, Veldhoven
Fire-resistant steel cladding and seals for technical penetrations in a production environment. The work was carried out in time slots aligned with the production schedule.
De Nederlandsche Bank
Fire protection work at sites in Amsterdam, Utrecht and Amersfoort. During renovation works, we installed seals, fire-resistant doors and steel cladding in phases.
WTC Amsterdam
Separating structures and fire-resistant doors in an office complex with multiple tenants. We coordinated the work floor by floor with building management and made agreements on periodic inspection.
Cooltower, Rotterdam
Fire-resistant glazing, fire dampers and separating structures in a residential tower of more than 150 metres. Structural measures and ventilation had to connect carefully.
We also worked on the penetration seals of around 100 new-build apartments at Maanplein in Den Haag, the renovation of Middin in Kijkduin, Cargill's industrial site in Amsterdam and the conversion of a building on the Spuistraat.

Our work includes fire-resistant seals for cable and pipe penetrations, protection of steel structures, fire-resistant doors and glazing, fire dampers and separating structures.
We assess which solution suits the existing construction, the installations and the required performance. You can also come to us for inspection, repair and maintenance of existing measures.
By including fire protection early in the preparation, we can coordinate connections, the order of work and registration before floors, ceilings and shafts are closed.

Working safely on siteOur employees hold VCA diplomas. Safe and healthy working is addressed during preparation and execution, with attention to the risks on the construction site and the site's safety agreements.
Clear agreements and a transparent completion file
You get clarity in advance about the work, choice of materials, schedule and price. During the work, we coordinate with the parties involved and take residents, users and other work into account.
At handover, you receive the accompanying documentation. In the file, we record the measures carried out, with details such as location, system applied, date of execution and photos.
Through a digital logbook this information remains available for inspections, maintenance and later changes. For periodic checks and keeping the records up to date, we make agreements that suit your building and its use.
