A fire protection company takes care of a building's passive fire safety: the structural provisions that keep fire and smoke within a compartment. Think of fire-resistant seals for cable and pipe penetrations, fire doors, fire-resistant glass, fire dampers, separating walls and the protection of steel structures. Grazy Brandwering advises on, installs and maintains these provisions, and records everything in a logbook.
Kiwa is an independent certification body; the Kiwa certificate K21050 for structural fire safety means the execution is periodically assessed externally. This results in work carried out to fixed standards, verifiably documented, with a stronger record toward insurers and the competent authority.
The owner is responsible for the building meeting the requirements of the Besluit bouwwerken leefomgeving (Bbl); the user must use the building in a fire-safe manner. Provisions that no longer work due to renovations or wear also fall under this. Periodic inspection and an updated logbook make that responsibility demonstrable.
From our location at the Forepark business park in Den Haag: usually within half an hour in Den Haag, the direct surroundings and Rotterdam. In the rest of Zuid-Holland usually within a few working days; for Utrecht, Amsterdam and the rest of the Netherlands by appointment.
